DIY Save the Date Postcard: Reveal!
I know you have all been waiting to see the final product and I have to apologize for the delay. I had a little computer issue last week. Let me say that a weekend without ones laptop is like torture. I know W says I am on it way to much but I just feel very unproductive when I am not doing something blog related.
I'm going to stop talking now and just get to what you have all been waiting for!
To get the final product I used kraft card stock, a black pen, white gel pen, black/glittery silhouette pen, and a red silhouette pen.
As you can see the black pen and white gel pen are not silhouette brand so I used a pen adapter. I simply started with the part of the postcard that needed to be in black pen, adjusted the cut settings changed to the white pen, adjusted again, changed to the red and then one last adjusted cut setting and changed to the black/glittery pen. The final adjustment was a change to the cut blade and voila I was done!
So with out further ado here it is!
The front. Pretty simple nothing to fancy.
And the back! My favorite part is the calendar. If you remember back to the Design post the image on my silhouette was longer and not at all a post card size. That was a deliberate design execution. The front and the back was "printed" on one side and then the entire piece was folded in half and glued together to make sure the postcard was the correct thickness for mailing.
There you have it my DIY Save the Date postcards. I was so pleased with the final product and I can't wait to reveal my DIY Invitations to you all in a few months.
